(SOLD) Superb fine silver wire used to depict design on the Japanese Meiji cloisonné vase. The vase is in round form with a short, stout, incurving neck and a flared mouth. The base material is copper with brass mounts including rims and base and throat plates.
The design is of two pigeons browsing in foliage near a stream. The primary colors are yellows, oranges, brown and red. There some tall small yellow and orange chrysanthemum flowers and lilies with blue Japanese iris. There are unique borders at the mouth and foot. The background is a highly polished wireless white.
The vase is 6” tall. Unsigned. Excellent condition. Stand not included
