(SOLD) Large Fine Silver Wire Japanese Meiji Rectangular Cloisonné Vase w/ Japanese iris
(SOLD) A beautifully shaped silver wire Japanese Cloisonne vase in a great state of conservation. The vase is in rectangular form with rounded corners, and a square long neck and mouth but a rectangular foot.
The design is of a couple off several Japanese iris flowers in deep purple, white and blue. Several small wetland plants are on the right side of the iris. On the reverse, above the foot , a single white iris. The background is a beautiful Venetian Red color. There is a nice hanging border at the mouth and a small geometric border at the base.
The vase is 12” tall. Unsigned. Excellent condition.
