Beautiful Quality Very Fine Silver Wire Japanese Meiji Cloisonne Dragon Vase
This is a super fine silver wire antique Japanese Cloisonné vase in round form with classic shape and curving lines. The vase has a copper base with brass mounts and applied colored enamels and silver rims.
The design depicts a fierce dragon swirling around in the sky with a background color of teal-green. There dragon has a beige-brown body with a dark brown ridge on the back. The belly is creme colored with a tinge of pale orange shading. The dragon has blue horns and Venetian Red colored flames. He has yellow eyes that are framed with red, pale peached colored whiskers and he has curling red-brown eyelashes. He has long sharp claws that are whiteish but shade from a very pale subtle blue to a pale orange color at the tips. The workmanship on the head and scales on the body is very detailed. There are crisp detailed geometric borders at the mouth and at the foot.
