A well-crafted, precise and beautiful fine Japanese Meiji cloisonne vase in rectangular two parallel sides are longer than the other parallel sides) form with a long, incurving neck and flared square mouth with sloping shoulders tapering down to a flared-out square foot.

The design consists of four panels with naturalistic scenes, two with pale olive green backgrounds and two with deep blue backgrounds. The two longer sides with the olive green backgrounds have background panels depict floral scenes with one having a small Sakura tree with a finely wired small wild songbird perched on a branch. The other has a gorgeous scene of flowering bushes including lilies in orange, yellow and peach colors and morning glories in while, orange and lavender. There are also sprays of small red flowering branches. The short deep-blue panels have roses bushes with white, picotee, and pale orange. There are classic dense geometric and arabesque borders on the neck, mouth, and shoulders and foot of the vase.

The vase is 6" tall. Unsigned. Excellent condition except for a small area between two panels that has been pushed in slightly (see the close-up photo and an over-all photo that includes the area in photo # 5).
