(SOLD) Another hanging wisteria vase, This is a fine silver wire antique Japanese Meiji Cloisonné figural piece in round form with short incurving neck, flared mouth and tall shoulders tapering down to a narrow foot. The vase is copper with multi-colored enamels the mounts are brass. The bottom plate is gold-gilt and the other mounts may have been, as well.

The design depicts naturalistic scenes of Japanese women and children walking underneath clusters of wisteria flowers hanging from the neck of the vase. The front scene depicts a lady with two children and ab attending woman. The Lady and the children are dressed in fine decorative kimono while the servant’s dress appears more coarse and plain-colored. On the reverse are a lady and small child.

The vase is 10” tall. Very good antique condition with a small shallow bruise measuring 1/8.” There are some transparent stress lines to the left of the servant woman that are transparent and cannot be felt. Please contact us with any questions.
