A fine antique silver wire vase from the Meiji era.  The vase is 4-sided (quadrilateral) with square mouth and square foot.   The vase is copper based with silvered bras mounts and bottom.

 The design is of a single wisteria vine which grows actually from on the rear side and wraps around the four sides with beautiful arabesque curves.   There are four wild song birds perched or flying around the vine.   Large sumptuous clumps of white and purple wisteria blossoms hang from the vine.   There are beautiful arabesque borders at the mouth and the foot.

 The vase is 9” tall.   Unsigned.   Excellent condition.
