(SOLD) A very large and beautiful fine Japanese Meiji cloisonne vase in round form with a short, wide,, incurving neck and flared mouth with narrow shoulders tapering down to a flare out foot.
The design consists of four panels with naturalistic scenes, two with black backgrounds and two with blue backgrounds. The black background panels depict floral scenes with one having a branch of a Sakura tree and the other with pink morning glories. The blue panels have birds flying around stylized modernistic vegetation on one, and a naturalistic hibiscus bush on the other. The background that frames the panels has colorful phoenix birds floating on a goldstone aventurine translucent surface. There are geometric borders on the neck and foot of the vase.
