Fantastic Gold Wire Silver Wire and Wireless Carp on Celadon Vase (SOLD)
A round, bowl-shaped vase with short neck and wide mouth. The vase is wired and wireless with gold and silver wire on a plain celadon background.
The design is of two Carp fish swimming together in the water. The smaller red fish is done with gold wire and the large bluish fish is done with silver wire on the body and gold wire around the head and mouth. The tails blend into the depths of the water. The red carp shows reflections of direct sunrays streaming through the surface of the water. The background is a flawless smooth light celadon green color.
The vase is 6” tall by about 5” wide. Unsigned to the base but attributed to the Ando company. Excellent condition. Ask all questions before biding.
