(SOLD) Very high quality vase by Ota Tameshiro made with fine silver wire. The vase is hexagonal shape with hexagonal mouth and foot. The vase has a long narrow curving neck and flared out mouth. There are gold gilt rims and throat and base plates.
The design is of a fierce dragon swirling around the body of the vase. The dragon is brown colored with a white under belly with yellow shading at the ridges in the skin. The dragon has yellow eyes and red-orange flames coming of its body. Note the close-up photo of the fine details and shading on the dragon’s face. The background is a highly hand polished midnight blue or black. There is a geometric border around the foot and a large arabesque border at the mouth. Signed with the impressed Lotus Mark of Ota Tameshiro on the base. Excellent condition. (Note: some photos show little gold semicircles at the base of the neck - those are reflections from the top rim)
