This is a small and highly detailed Meiji cloisonné vase that is packed with detail and a lot of fine silver wire. The vase is six sided with rounded, thin neck and a flared out round mouth. The corners of the sides are sharp and the six panels gradually taper down to a round, flared-out foot. The vase is made of copper with a brass based brass rims and throat plate.

The design consists a naturalistic scene of is a large cherry tree in full bloom. The tree spreads out over several panels. Every petal on the myriad of flowers is wired in silver. A large brown and white bird is nestled in the center of the tree. Below the tree is a small garden contains various highly detailed lowers including standard-form chrysanthemums in red, white and deep purple. There are also white lilies, Japanese iris in white and deep purple, blue gentian, a small wetlands plant with small white flowers and sprays of small red and white flowers. On the reverse is small stand of white spider-form chrysanthemums, red chrysanthemums and blue gentian. There is a geometric border at the mouth and an arabesque border at the foot. The back ground is a highly polished, wireless midnight-blue.

The vase is 6” tall. Signed on the bottom with with the .”Lotus mark” of Ota Tameshiro. Stand not included.
