(SOLD) A rare and fine and beautiful tall Japanese Meiji cloisonne vase of terrific quality with round form and a long neck, flared mouth, and sloping shoulders tapering down to a narrow foot. The body is made of copper with designs made with colored enamels and silica.
The design is of a rooster and a hen among grasses and a tall stand of chrysanthemums with several other shorter varieties if chrysanthemum blooming. There is a small border at the base but the long neck has 3 wide border sections with arabesque and geometric designs. Very fine wire work. This is a very beautiful vase that fits so well in your hand you don’t want to put it down.
The vase is 6” tall. Unsigned. Excellent condition, we see no damages. Stand not included.
