(SOLD) Rare Fine Silver Wired Meiji Cloisonne Handled Vase Peonies and Lillies by Ota
(SOLD) This vase is very fine and delicately designed and enameled. The vase is in round form with a bottle shape having wide shoulders and body tapering roundly to a narrow foot. It has a long neck that slopes in and then out at the mouth. There are two handles on either side attached to the vase.
The design consist of two detached garden scenes, one with red tree peonies with khaki-brown leaves and pale chrysanthemums. The other side has white lilies and other flowers. The background is a light blue color. There are arabesque borders at the mouth and the foot. The handles are decorated with fine abstract floral motifs.
The vase is 6” tall. Signed to the base with the incised 3-kanji mark of Ota Jinnoei. Excellent antique condition. Stand not included. Email us with any questions, please.
