(SOLD) The vase is in the manner of Hayashi Kodenji with a simple, elegant naturalistic design on a midnight blue background. the vase has a beautiful round shaped with squat, bulbous body with most of the vase comprised of a wide neck ascending gracefully up to a flared out mouth. The base material of the vase is copper with added silver wires and baked silica enamels. The rims and throat plate are brass while the base plate is enameled with black or midnight blue. This is an extremely difficult piece to photograph because in the large incurving neck can obscure the design with large vertical reflections.

The designs of wild song birds perched in the branches of branches from an old skag of a cherry tree (sakura) in bloom. A third bird is flying away from the tree on the right. The background is a highly polished wireless midnight blue or black. There is amazing detail on the leaves with all of the tiny veins wired in silver as are the feathers on the wings o the birds.
