(SOLD) A fine and beautiful tall Japanese Meiji cloisonne vase in round form with a short, wide neck, flared mouth, and broad shoulders tapering out an in out down to a narrow foot. The body is made of copper colored enamels design and a base and interior enamel finished in blue matte enamel.

The design is of a single mature white flowering tree, in full bloom at Springtime. The tree is growing from a large rock. There are two bird of paradise one perched on the tree and one on the rock. There is a smaller rock to the left of the big rock and a rushing stream flows between the rock. The rocks are rendered with thick outlining with tapered black enamel outlined in silver wires. There are several small plants growing form the rock, including a small wisteria plant on the small rock. The reverse side has a small white flowering tree. There are two rows of borders at the mouth and the foot, each. The top and bottom borders have repeating geometric forms and the interior borders are repeating cicada lappet wing forms.

The vase is 10” tall. Unsigned. Excellent condition. Stand not included. Please email us with any questions you have.
