Very Fine Silver Wire Japanese Meiji Cloisonné Vase w/ Arching Wisteria Vine and Two Wild Birds
A very fine silver wire Japanese cloisonne Meiji era vase in round form with high, broad shoulders, a short neck with flared out mouth and body tapering roundly down to the round base.
The silver wire design depicts a wisteria vine growing from up from the bottom and near to the right of the vase and growing up towards the neck and then arching to the left of the vase and splayed across the broad shoulders towards the left and then drooping down with heavy clumps of white, blue and dark purple clumps of flowers. There are two finely detailed reddish colored wild song birds are on the vine. T A the base of the vine are growing peach and white colored rose flowers. he background is a highly polished wireless shining black or very dark midnight blue. There is an arabesque border at the base with a repeating floral image.
The vase is 7” tall. Unsigned. Stand not included Excellent condition with no damages.
