Fine Wireless & Silver Wire Japanese Cloisonne Vase Sunset over Mt. Fuji
A very beautiful silver wire Japanese Meiji cloisonné vase in round form with short, wide neck, flared mouth, and with wides shoulders tapering down to a slightly narrower foot. The vase is brass with bright blue interior and base enameling.
The design is naturalistic and is depicts snow-capped Mt. Fuji with subtle mists over hills in the near and far distance with several small fishing boats on a blue gray ocean. The view is looking out over a small patch of foreground with a clump of pine trees and foreground with pine trees. The back ground is many blending shades of yellows and orange red. The pine trees, near hills and little boats all have sparse silver wire to help reinforce the enamel and the remainder of the design is wireless.
